Wyoming Class B CDL Mixed Practice Questions

This Wyoming Class B CDL practice bank contains 100 English questions from the saved mixed module. It emphasizes general commercial-driving knowledge and also includes air-brake, hazardous-materials, tank-vehicle, passenger, and school-bus topics. The set covers vehicle inspection, braking, cargo management, speed and following distance, hazardous conditions, emergencies, licensing responsibilities, passenger safety, tank dynamics, and commercial operating rules. Combination-vehicle and doubles/triples modules are excluded from the regular Class B mix because they are associated with Class A combination operation. Specialty questions remain conditional study and do not mean every Class B applicant needs every endorsement. Use the requirements and guide below to separate Wyoming's core Class B licensing path from vehicle-specific or endorsement-specific preparation.

LICENSING GUIDE

What to know before you test

Use this overview together with the latest official guidance linked below.

01

Understand what Wyoming Class B covers

Wyoming Class B applies to a single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more, including such a vehicle towing another vehicle rated at 10,000 pounds or less. Class B also includes vehicles within Class C, except motorcycles. The underlying class is separate from endorsements: passenger, school-bus, tank, and hazardous-materials authority depends on the vehicle and operation. This mixed bank therefore treats those specialty modules as conditional preparation. It does not include Class A combination-vehicle or doubles/triples modules as routine Class B content.

02

Build the Wyoming CLP and testing sequence in order

A Wyoming commercial learner's permit applicant must be at least 18 and hold a valid classified driver license. The applicant appears in person, provides the required documents, presents a DOT medical card when applicable, passes the general knowledge test and any additional tests required for the intended vehicle or endorsements, and completes a vision screening. Wyoming written CDL tests require an 80 percent score. The CLP must be held at least 14 days before skills testing. The skills test covers pre-trip inspection, basic vehicle control, and over-the-road driving in an appropriate vehicle supplied by the applicant.

03

Match specialty study to the vehicle and job

Air-brake knowledge applies when the commercial vehicle uses air brakes. The N endorsement applies to qualifying tank vehicles, while H is required for placarded hazardous-materials operation and includes federal security-screening requirements. Passenger and school-bus operations use separate endorsements and additional testing. Wyoming also restricts the kinds of vehicles that may be used for skills testing; for example, placarded hazardous-materials vehicles are not permitted. Review the exact endorsements, brake system, passenger use, cargo, and vehicle configuration you expect to operate before deciding which specialty sections need the most attention.

04

Complete ELDT before the applicable test

Federal Entry-Level Driver Training applies to a person obtaining a Class B CDL for the first time unless an exception applies. Wyoming requires the applicable training to be completed before the state-administered CDL skills test. First-time passenger, school-bus, and hazardous-materials endorsement applicants also have ELDT requirements, with hazardous-materials training completed before the H knowledge test. ELDT does not replace state knowledge tests, the CLP, medical qualification, or the skills examination. Treat training, licensing paperwork, knowledge preparation, and behind-the-wheel practice as separate parts of the same licensing process.
