Nevada Class C Practice Test and Driver License Guide

This Nevada Class C practice page is built around 100 original car questions from the saved question bank. The set covers signs and signals, right-of-way, lane use and passing, turning and parking, speed and following distance, hazardous conditions, sharing the road, impaired or distracted driving, emergencies and collisions, and licensing responsibilities. These questions are independent practice material, not the official Nevada DMV exam. The guide below separates teen permit and licensing rules from the adult first-license process, summarizes the documents first-time applicants need, and explains the state knowledge and skills tests. Licensing requirements were checked against current Nevada DMV pages and the Nevada Driver Handbook on September 17, 2026.

LICENSING GUIDE

What to know before you test

Use this overview together with the latest official guidance linked below.

01

Who the Nevada Class C license is for

Nevada uses the Class C non-commercial license for ordinary passenger-car driving. The DMV knowledge-test page identifies the Class C test as the non-commercial licensing test. Motorcycle operation and commercial driving use different classes or endorsements, so this practice bank is limited to the ordinary car rules and responsibilities represented by the saved Class C question set.

02

Age and supervised practice

A Nevada teen may apply for an instruction permit at age 15½. Before a teen road test, the applicant must be at least 16, must have held a valid instruction permit for at least six months, and must complete at least 50 hours of supervised driving practice. For adults age 18 or older, an instruction permit is optional; if used, the supervising driver must be at least 21, have at least one year of licensed driving experience, and sit beside the permit holder.

03

Documents for a first Nevada license

First-time applicants must provide Nevada DMV with the required proof of identity and residency. For a standard or Real ID path, the DMV document page lists one proof of identity, proof of name changes when applicable, one proof of Social Security number, and two proofs of Nevada residential address, with approved translations for non-English documents. Applicants should review the current checklist for the exact acceptable documents before visiting an office.

04

Knowledge and skills tests

The Nevada Class C knowledge test contains 25 multiple-choice questions. A skills test may be scheduled only after the applicant has passed the knowledge test and obtained the appropriate instruction permit. Adult first-time drivers may use an instruction permit for practice or proceed through the DMV’s adult licensing steps; the road-test page requires the written knowledge test to be passed and lists the licensing and vehicle documents to bring for the skills test.

05

Passing the written test

Nevada DMV requires a score of 80 percent or better on the Class C knowledge test. The test stops when the applicant reaches 20 correct answers or six incorrect answers. The DMV also provides its own 25-question practice quiz. The 100 questions on this page are a separate study bank and do not represent an official test form or guarantee a passing result.
